Along with the first snow of the season comes the first round of winter enthusiasts. Monarch Mountain does have a formal uphill policy within our USFS Winter Operating Plan that users must abide by. All users must have an uphill ticket valid for the current 2018-19 winter season. The ticket must be worn on the outside of your ski gear and remain visible while skiing up or down the mountain. This policy is in place prior to opening the ski area, during the season, and after the ski area closes in April. During the ski season, it is also in effect during and outside of normal operating hours.
For Monarch Mountain season pass holders, this ticket is available for free at our season pass desk. For those without a season pass for the 2018-19 season, there is a one-time $20 administrative fee and you must sign a 2018-19 liability release waiver. The season pass desk is currently open from 8am to 4pm M-F. The ticket is valid for the entire 2018-19 season. For more information on our uphill access policy, please visit:
