Team Monarch focuses on competitive development and advancement in big mountain, slopestyle and racing. Team Monarch is open to intermediate to
advanced skiers and snowboarders. Athletes can choose to be part of either the Introduction to Competition Team or the Freeride Competition Team.
Team Monarch has been restructured for the 2020-21 season and is currently based on competition events occurring. Any changes will be posted here and registrants will be notified directly.

An 8-week program, 1 or 2 days a week, for intermediate to advanced skiers or snowboarders interested in increasing their knowledge + skills in the realm of competition.

Description Athletes are coached on the fundamental skills and core values of competitive skiing/riding to include persistence and discipline. Athletes are encouraged to participate in various big mountain and racing competitions, and will have the opportunity to move to the Competition Team (if desired) by advancing their skills and showing a passion and drive towards their training and individual success. Friday’s sessions include running gates in Town Challenge.
Additional Information Program cancellations are accepted seven or more days prior to the start date of the program: refund will be the price of the program minus the price of the Monarch Season Pass. No make-up days for missed sessions, and no switching between days. Equipment is not included.

An 18-week program, 2 days a week, for intermediate to advanced skiers or snowboard competitor interested in representing Team Monarch on the competition circuit.
18 Weeks (32 Sessions) Saturdays + Sundays (November 21, 2020 through March 21, 2021)
$1500 Time: 8:30am – 4:00pm Includes: Season Pass
Description The Freeride Competition Team is held to a higher standard than the Introduction to Competition Team, with greater expectation in the commitment of hours and personal drive. Skills and performance in all aspects of big mountain competitive skiing/riding will be heightened through discipline, strength training, drills, mental conditioning, goal setting and a specific training plan. Physical training will be demanding. Participation in big mountain competitions, and additional training days at Monarch and elsewhere are expected and includes hiking to Mirkwood every training day. Membership in IFSA is required and back protectors for competitors during competitions are mandatory. Additional fees for athletes include: IFSA membership, competition entry fees, travel and meals.
