No Name On Hold

As described in a March post, we were all systems go on starting the review process for the No Name terrain expansion. We had initiated a productive discussion with the SE Group and the USFS. Monarch had linked several good seasons together and the timing seemed great for all parties involved…and then the COVID-19 outbreak happened. The ski season came to an abrupt end and most of our major capital projects planned for the 2020 summer were put on hold.

This potential project has been in the works since the 2011 Master Development Plan was created. The No Name expansion would add approximately 350 acres of additional skiing on the western side of the Continental Divide. This area would primarily offer long cruisers, gladed terrain and a view from the west side.

While taking the year off from working on this project, we still plan to revisit the No Name expansion as soon as next summer. Stay positive and stay tuned.
