Snowpack

The recent storms in May have really helped to bump up our alpine snowpack. On the large map below, you can see that the entire Arkansas River Basin now sits at 118% of median. The US Department of Agriculture maintains SNOTEL sites that measure snow depth and anticipates available water content for runoff in our streams and rivers. While this number represents a basin-wide reading for the upper portion of the watershed, the most local SNOTEL site located just west of Monarch (Porphyry Creek) measures 201% of its median average mannapotheke.de/! The whole State looks to be in good shape and the Upper Ark is set up for a solid boating season.
