Post Storm Update

We received 10″ of high-density snow from the storm on Sunday night into Monday morning. As of Monday morning, we have a 15″ base at our mid-mountain snow study. We are continuing to track pack all the beginner trails and will be getting the winch cat out on some intermediate trails on Tuesday and Wednesday. We have primarily been working on the Garfield and Tumbelina zones on the mountain. The snowcats have also been up on the divide at the top of Pano and down in the runout zones off the ridge. The operators plan to make a trip up to Breezeway as well to pack out the Little Mo and Ramble On trails.

Overall, the mountain is off to a good start and we are continuing to establish the snowpack base on our trail system. I got out for a quick lunch lap on Monday and the coverage thus far is looking pretty solid. As this snow settles out and gets tracked by the cat, it is still a bit thin in spots. We are hopeful that the next few potential storms continue to deliver some additional snow for us. Stay posted.
