Pano Ridge

The next significant round of the Monarch Pass Vegetation Management Project will begin this month. The efforts last summer involved ground based removal operations. The zones addressed were mainly in the tree islands adjacent to green and blue trails served by the Garfield, Pioneer and Tumbelina chairlifts.

This summer, the primary area that we will target for the removal of trees affected by the spruce beetle will be Panorama Ridge. With this next round, we will utilize aerial/helicopter removal of the timber along Pano Ridge and in a few other tree stands adjacent to expert terrain. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.
