Sunday, Sunday, Sunday,
Let’s get right to it!
Currently, at Monarch Mountain temps are in the low teens, light to moderate winds out of the WSW and there are scattered clouds which should burn off in the next 2-3 hours. Today, high temperature will be around 20F. Considering today’s weather factors, it should make a pretty good day for skiing and riding!
So, when is the next storm?
Short answer… soon.
Mostly sunny skies continue into Monday morning. Some clouds roll into the Northern half of Colorado on Monday. Monday evening shows a slight chance for light snow overnight into Tuesday. Maybe, 0-2 inches at Monarch and slight more further North towards Wyoming. I’m not counting on this, but I am sayin’ there’s a chance. Tuesday night brings broken skies. On Wednesday, snow returns with 1-3 inches possible. Snowfall ceases on Thursday and skies clear through the weekend.
High temperatures from now till Thursday remain in the mid teens to low twenties. The wind speeds will vary from 10-25 mph and wind direction will be mainly out of the West-Southwest. Thursday afternoon we see winds shift out of the Northwest as the storm leaves the state bringing cooler temps to the mountains.
