This is the time of year that we all start checking both short-term and long-term weather models on a regular basis. The Climate Prediction Center posts a steady stream of short term forecasts (6-10 days out and 8-14 days out) in addition to longer ones (3-4 weeks, one month and three month). Below is a look at a few models they have. The first one is the three month likelihood for above or below precipitation. Colorado looks to be in the above category. The second model shows a moderate risk of heavy precipitation between Oct 18th-25th. Looks like we may have a storm on the horizon.
