February has been a banner of a month for snowfall. With well over two feet in the past 2 weeks, the skiing has been top-notch and it just keeps snowing folks!
The storms this week seem to favor the southern mountains but that doesn’t mean Monarch will be shut-out. Look for another 6-8 inches coming the rest of this week. Mainly today then early Thursday-late Friday. Next few days will be well below zero for temperatures. Expect it to warm up just a touch, positive temps, as the winds swing around out of the south early Thursday as the next low breezes through Arizona. Some upslope winds could be encountered, so skiing leeward slopes will produce the better turns this week.
Keep doing whatever you’re doing because every single thing you do, at home or at the mountain, has a direct impact on the snow. It seems to be working!
Pray for snow
