Youth Programs

The groups of children will have fun, with instructor guidance and direction, while playing with and experiencing the sport of skiing. They'll get to play a lot of games that help them to practice moving and sliding, taking rest and bathroom breaks as needed. Some class time may occur inside due to weather or other considerations, at which times the instructor will continue to facilitate your child's comfort with the equipment, and muscle memory training through movements indoors. Children will be introduced to beginner terrain and the surface lift(s). Each child will be issued a Monarch Season Pass. New this season!  Participants that possess the appropriate skills will be advanced to the Caterpillar Lift and Snowflake terrain.

Instructors will work with kids in small groups to explore and have fun with the sports of skiing and snowboarding. This program is unique in that it facilitates both kids and parents having a playful time on the mountain together. Parents will be able to ride the lift with their kids, allowing the class to explore more of the mountain. In addition to focusing and developing the child's skills, the instructor will coach parents in terrain selection, lift procedures and successful facilitation of their child's skiing and riding experience.
