Whether it’s the first time you’re skiing or snowboarding, or you’re wanting to up your skills to master the slopes, Monarch’s Snowsports School will get you going on the right foot (feet). Our trained and certified SnoPros take the stress out of learning, making it fun, easy and effective.
We recommend booking your lessons at least 2 days before your arrival especially if you’re taking a lesson on a Saturday or during or a peak period.

Private Lesson
In this private lesson your child will spend 2.5 hours with their very own certified SnoPro, on either skis or a snowboard, taking breaks as necessary and learning at their own ability and pace. Whether it’s their first time on equipment or already has some know-how, you can have the peace of mind that they are being cared for, having fun, and learning something new.

Mini + Me
Would you like to be with your child as they learn and receive tips on how to continue with their progression? In the Mini & Me lesson your certified SnoPro teaches your child basic skiing or snowboarding skills while providing you tips for keeping it fun and safe for when the two of you are out on your own. (You, or the accompanying adult, will need to know how to capably slide, stop, turn and ride a chair lift.)

½ Day Group Lesson (Junior Mountain)
Is Junior just starting out learning to ski or snowboard? Set them up for success by signing them up for this 2.5 hour Junior Mountain Group lesson where they will learn the basics in a group of their peers. They will learn about their equipment, how to successfully get in and out of their equipment, effectively move around, slide, stop and turn, and how to get up from a fall. Groups are formed with others who are also just starting out and on the same type of equipment (either skis or snowboard) and will progress as a group. For beginners and on green terrain only.

Full Day Group Lesson (Junior Mountain)
In this full-day option, your junior will spend a whole day with a group of their peers, including a supervised lunch. With 5 hours of lesson time plus 1 hour for lunch, they will have more time to learn the basics and practice developing skills, providing a stronger foundation for advancement.

In this 2.5 hour private lesson students have their own, one-on-one SnoPro and progress according to their own skills and ability. Spend the whole day having fun and progressing at your own rate with a private SnoPro. You’ll get 5 hours of guided lesson time +1 hour (or so) lunch period with the instructor. - LOW – Mon-Thurs except where included in Standard or Peak
- STANDARD – Fri-Sun including 12/22/25-12/25/25, 01/19/26 and 02/16/26
- PEAK – 12/26/25-01/04/26, 02/14/26-02/15/26 and 03/09/26-03/27/26
- Lessons can be booked online up to at least 2 days prior to arrival. Click here to book online.
- Lessons can also be booked in person at the Reservations window (not recommended for same-day).

- We highly recommend you book your lessons in advance at least 48 hours prior to your arrival, especially if you are arriving on weekends or during peak periods.
- Monarch season passholders receive:
- $20 off a ½ Day or Full Day Private lesson; applies to participating passholder only, can be used multiple times. Does not apply to the 3-pack of private lessons nor any of those 3 lessons. Does not apply to child pass. One discount per lesson only.
- 20% off ½ Day or Full Day Group lesson; applies to participating passholder only, can be used multiple times. Does not apply to Child pass.
- Cancellations must be received at least 48 hours prior to your lesson time to receive a refund
Arrive for your lesson at least an hour early, an hour and a half if you are renting equipment and/or if you’re arriving during a holiday/peak period. Lessons start at the specified time – you should be checked in at Reservations, suited up with boots on and with equipment in hand, and ready to go by lesson start time. The reservationist will tell you where to meet your SnoPro. The reservations windows open at 8:00am.
