Monarch Community Outreach

Monarch Community Outreach (MCO) is a Non-Profit Organization associated with Monarch Mountain that provides aid and service to our community. It is our goal to provide help to local organizations that need assistance. We welcome the participation of all Monarch employees, as well as anyone in the community, so that we can provide aid and service to as many people as we can. Essentially, our goal is to give back to the local community.

Areas of Focus

Humanitarian: The Grainery, Chaffee County Boy's & Girl's Club, Alliance Against Domestic Abuse, Chaffee People's Clinic

Individuals In Need: People in need of the basic necessities of life due to unforseen circumstances.

Community Support: Calliope, Salida HS Mt Bike Team, Salida & BV School Programs, Kiwanis Easter Egg Hunt, St. Joe's Thanksgiving Dinner.

How Can You Help?

Donate to MCO with easy and convenient payroll deductions. For employees, simply fill out a Payroll Deduction form (minimum $1.00 please!) and the rest is taken care of for you. Community members can contact one of the MCO Board Members to make contributions. Keep in mind this donation is tax deductible since MCO is qualified as a 501c3 organization under the Internal Revenue Service code. (Please check with your tax advisor about all tax matters.)

Attend MCO’s monthly Board of Directors meeting to provide input and learn what is going on.

Become a Board Member. Being a member of the Board of Directors requires attending the monthly Board Meetings on a regular basis. If you are interested, please attend the next meeting and let us know you would like to be considered for Board Membership.

Throw some change into one of our donation boxes located throughout the lodge, patronize one of our candy machines, or buy a raffle ticket.
