WHAT IS THE TOWN CHALLENGE?
Monarch Mountain's Town Challenge is a FUN slalom race geared for all ability levels to participate in by creating their own race teams! The atmosphere is about having a good time, becoming a better skier/rider and spending time on the mountain with your friends. Plus, we give away great prizes and awards at the end of the every race season!
WHEN DO THE RACES TAKE PLACE?
Town Challenge is a series of 7 races throughout the months of January, February, and March. These races are every Friday starting in early January each year. Registration for Town Challenge is due the first Friday of January.
WHO CAN RACE?
Whether you are a beginner or an advanced skier or boarder OR enjoy the rush of racing through gates OR are simply just an outdoor enthusiast, this is a great race for you! There are 6 different types of leagues that can participate in the Town Challenge which include: Telemark, A-League Skiing, B-league Skiing, Snowboard, Masters (over 50) and Super Seniors (over 62).
HOW CAN I REGISTER?
In order to compete as a team you must have a completed registration form submitted 3 days prior to the first race. Your team must consist of at least 2 males and 1 female or 2 females and 1 male ~ with a maximum of 6 participants. The people that you list on your original roster are PERMANENT, no substitutions are allowed. You may however, turn in a roster that has less than six people and add additional members at a later date. To submit your registration on-line simply print the Registration Form and the Release form, complete it and turn it into your Team Captain. All Team Captains should collect their members completed forms and submit them to the Monarch Guest Service Desk. (We would like full teams forms to be turned in together...DO NOT turn in forms individually, please!)
