Position/Department: Assistant Vice President of Mountain Operations
Hours: Full-time, year-round
Assist the VP of Mountain Operations in all aspects of Mountain Operations, to include coordinating planning and supervision of mountain operations and departments (Lift Maintenance, Lift Operations, Patrol, Base Area Services, Cat Skiing, Slope Maintenance and Vehicle Maintenance); planning and revision of operational plans and policies; the distribution and enforcement of company rules and regulations; USFS interface and Special Use Permit administration; company adherence to the requirements of regulatory agencies…etc.
Must have a minimum 5 yrs. supervisory experience at a ski area; knowledgeable about all phases of mountain operations; excellent verbal and written skills; computer literate; excellent leadership skills; able to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality; have a high awareness of liability as it pertains to ski area/employee safety; able to travel.
Position/Department: Mechanic/Vehicle Maintenance
Hours: Full-time, summer
Maintenance and repair of vehicles in Monarch’s fleet. Must have previous experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair, from front-end loaders to snowcats. Great communication skills and the ability to work safely and independently are a must. Valid CO Driver’s license with a good driving record is required. Must be at least 21 years old. This could turn into a year-round position; wages dependant on experience.
